Well, he was an Irishman. That ended the day he knelt in front of a british crown. But get this: he CANNOT be called "Sir" because he was born Irish; the "knighthood" he received is only an "honorary" one. So he knelt before the thrown that slaughtered his countrymen for ages, and they STILL didn't give him full honors for it ... *because who would give such a fraternal honor to a traitor anyway?* 🤣
