Don't get me wrong, it tastes really good, way better than what you get at the store. But it pisses me off that they charge multiple times the normal price just because it's "raw". Maybe if you are growing child, it's worth it.

The price increase comes from the feds making it illegal to sell raw milk.

In Colorado, you have to buy a share in a herd to get raw milk. It's the only legal way to do it.

Well I live in US East and it's completely legal here. The land is perfect for dairy.

Milk production is heavily subsidized in the USA and I doubt the raw milk industry gets a cut of that subsidization which could lead to higher costs. Also raw milk probably doesn't have the same economy of scale as homogenized pasteurized milk.
