There were 2 Iconoclasms in the Byzantine Empire (banning/destruction of religious Icons).

Both were stopped by women ruling as regent for their sons.

Empress Irene 787 AD, and Theodora 842 AD

Pro Icons, because we don't worship them, we honor what they represent. Iconoclasm is proto-Islam and therefore gay, this is a rare woman W.
