In all fairness, it's also the first time that the "everyman" even has a "voice" to begin with and has any kind of realistic reach. Back in the 1950s if you had some kind of irrefutable proof the holocaust was fake, you'd have no way to spread it because radio stations and newspapers would tell you to fuck off. This is why they are trying to censor the internet and why Palantir is now cataloging us...
