this is debatable at best and false at worst. it's colloquially known as a compound of aíthō (i burn) and ṓps (face) and even has the adjectival meaning of "red-brown", White doesn't factor into it except in arguments that "burn" implies "brightness". but this is implied against because the greeks did have a specific word for White Ethiopians, Leucæthiopes!
why would they call one White group in Ethiopia "White burnt face" and another one just "burnt face" if they were both White?
this is all a moot argument anyway. Jesus never told us "hate blacks for being ugly", He and the rest of the Bible told us to hate evil. if evil happens to be black a lot of the time so be it, but the few good blacks or the rare "self-hating" jew like the one that translated and argued against the Talmud to a Spanish court to expose his corrupt brothers don't deserve infinite hate automatically.
as for Moses, the interlinear Hebrew OT says "Cushite," as does the popular NIV translation. that could very well be a nationality, not a descriptor of race. the areas of Africa near the Middle East have always been full of arabs, which have a ton of White admixture and even today can rarely look Whiter than some Europeans.
