most of my own friends and family are all brainwashed, addicted to substances, addicted to sportsball, checked out of reality, behaving like NPC's, in a sort of mid life crisis where they lost ambition at early age (pre 40s), still get lots of information from fake news media, lazily read AI answers instead of actually researching stuff, etc.

I think humans are too domesticated. Makes me want to re-read Ted's Manifesto about the technocracy
