A central theme in theology, philosophy, and literature is the cycle of evil's methodology: deception, self-destruction, and the final sadistic revelation. The devil does not need to destroy a person directly; the true evil is to tempt and manipulate individuals into bringing about their own downfall.

>

* Deception: The first stage is the temptation to pursue what is seemingly beneficial but is, in reality, a trap. The devil, according to Christian theology, presents himself as an "angel of light" and works through lies and half-truths.

* The lie of fulfillment: The devil disguises sin as a path to personal fulfillment, success, or power. He presents tempting ideas that a person may believe are their own brilliant thoughts.
The distortion of reality: The devil can disorient a person's perception of reality and convince them of a false reality that serves his purposes.

* Targeting weaknesses: Evil exploits human desires and vulnerabilities, such as pride, greed, or desperation, to gain entry into a person's thoughts and plans.

* Corrupted nature: The repeated choice of sin causes a person's nature to become more corrupt, damaging their relationship with God and their likeness to Him.

* Loss of divine connection: By acting on deception, a person separates themselves from God, damaging their faith and opening themselves up to further attacks. The deception makes a person believe they don't deserve God's forgiveness, which ultimately serves Satan's goal of pulling them away from God.

* Isolation: *Another tactic is to isolate the victim, convincing them not to share their decisions or fears with others who might expose the lie.*

* Psychological warfare: The mockery is a form of psychological warfare, designed to break a person's spirit and make them believe they are beyond redemption.
