Burkas have been banned in Turkey for 30 years, before the country turned more towards radical islam. Burka bans are band-aid on destruction caused by carpet bombing.

I agree that nobody is doing enough. But the fact that the winning party is talking seriously about mass deportations means the temperature has changed.
Democracy may get nothing done, but this does indicate the common sentiment. And that's something I can be thankful for
