Because you can use AI to replace their faces, saving "processing power" for generating the environment, sounds, etc. Runway AI is doing something similar with Lionsgate studios. They'll still film actors on a green screen stage, but then AI can replace their faces, or "project" costumes on them, change settings, etc. So you have the actors do their acting, but have AI "paint" everything else in the scene.
