I don't see it. Some of the comments Politico is portraying as extreme are anodyne. One is a suggestion by one party to frame an opponent as an antisemite. Another, the offense is hoping an opponent kills himself.
This is a big nothingburger in substance. What does raise alarm is that it's a return to the major media targeting White Republican Teen for thought and speech offenses. It seems to me that, in the wake of Hamas' victory over the zionist entity, there will be now a snap-back of the glastnost of the alleged 'vibe shift', at least for the center-right. I would not be surprised if the leak of the chats were sourced back to Rep. Stefanic or someone similar. It would make sense that they would start by enforcing at the Young Republicans. Of course all of that could be true, but with the TPUSA vacuum being the impetus.
