The ones I keep my eye on are the ones that seem otherwise "normal" but always have some tell that there is total spiritual emptiness inside their meatsuit. The most obvious is the sanpaku eyes, particularly the white (sclera) visible above the iris. Those old Japanese charts about what different types of sanpaku eyes mean about the person who has them have proven true. I've even seen a few of these husks that have sclera visible on top AND bottom.... before recently I'd only see shit like that in anime.
Yes, demons are real. There are hordes of them, so plan accordingly. They won't be skittering around in a semi-docile state forever.
The people I am talking about are doing this shit are almost always doing it with their head level, even if metaphorically they are the furthest thing away from level-headed.
