The whole point is to increase inventory accuracy. Every item has a specific id and is placed in specific locations. The lpn sticker is larger and more visible for ease of scanning. There's an entire department dedicated to just cycle counting the inventory constantly. I was there for 4 years. I worked in almost every department. I scanned hundreds of thousands of these things. I promise you, you're wrong.
