It's not even that, women just refuse to settle because they aren't forced to anymore, they need to be stripped of freedom so they serve their god given role

Men as well. Imagine if winter was coming and your only hope was to jump on a comely grenade who cooks and cleans and raises kids but is mid and chubby. But she also knows that without your mid-at-best self with anime as your hobby, she will freeze to death or starve unless she compromises.
The basic survival reality forces people to work together and compromise, because there is no other option.
Now we have the shadow of choice that tells us we have more options and to wait for a better one. Nah, that mid fatty is it, at least she cooks well.
No, you're just delusional. Most men don't have a choice at all and are already getting rejected by the fat chicks so why even bother going after them if all we receive is humiliation?

No he's right. Social media has men and momen lusting over the most attractive humans imaginable all the time. And then these people look at the people around them irl, including in the mirror, and everyone looks *ugly*.
But to your point, a chubby 5/10 wife whoe's a faithful homemaker would be considered a catch by most men these days. The reason being the "faithful homemakers" are extremely rare now.
You're completely discounting the desperation of men though and not understanding the sex based bell curves of attractiveness.
If we're assuming to already be filtering by age(every old woman was young at some point), race(because miscegenation is bad). and assuming a healthy weight(again, any woman can just not be fat) I would say that most "normal" women would probably be around 7/10 with a good amount of 6 and 8s, a few exceptional 9s and 10s, 5s and 4s would be healthy looking but with small aesthetic defects, 3 and below would be major medical conditions and deformities.
As a point of reference I'm in a relatively trashy town right now, yet in my last two times I went to Walmart I saw two incredibly attractive young women(much better than I see in ((((ads and hollywood))))) and a handful of moderately attractive ones and I genuinely don't think I've seen a health white breeding age woman that I wasn't attracted to.
A man being below the top 20th percentile in terms of height, facial appearance, or income is viewed as *below* average by most women..
The difference between men and women even in the social media age is that men will spend 10 hours per week watching porn and start demanding a 7/10 woman... but that he will also rate 80% of suitable women as being 7/10 or **above**, women will consume social media and start demanding a 6/10 or above... and then rate 90% of men as *below* 5/10
My wife has a friend that's very sweet, has no debt etc and wants a family. But she's not very hot so men don't bother and treat her poorly. Even men in her league.
