I've never been, but I'll be there very soon. I don't travel much, but Japanese are good people. Unlike, their neighbors, literal niggers of the orient. I respect the history and what they are a part of, and they are, to me, allies. I have a great opportunity to learn more by visiting, and I was curious whether there was anyone here that would be able to provide some information regarding places to visit or things to experience that would be useful and helpful in our journey.

I plan to visit Japan within the next few years. From what I gather Osaka and Kyoto are worth more time than Tokyo, unless your focus is on anime and stereotype shit. The people in Osaka are more friendly and care less about all the social rules, they are also the food capital of Japan. I'm most interested in the nature and historical areas like Takayama, but this would only be a day trip.

Agreed, but Osaka itself is just a big city, but it can be a base to see Nara, Kyoto, and Himeji.
