"Science" is the scientific method. You might use the empirical proof you obtain from adhering to the method to form you philosophical world view, but science itself IS NOT a "philosophy". It is a rigid set of steps to either prove the cause of the effect in your hypothesis, or prove the null. Either A causes B, or A does not cause B. The law of non contradiction then allows you to KNOW what you've determined from your experiment.
