Famously, the LDS church was investigated by the SS. They were concerned that it was a jewish front. They thought that the LDS church was transferring wealth from Germany to the US, and that somehow that money was ending up in jew hands.

What they found out was that the LDS church was sending money to Germany in total. The US members were donating to help the poor, and there were a lot of poor members in Germany.

Also, the SS was impressed with how humble the president of the church at the time, Heber J. Grant, was. He showed no signs of wealth or excess. He spoke plainly and calmly and focused on the essential doctrines.

We had no quarrel with the Nazis. There were a few members who spoke up and out against them, and I think a few were punished for it, maybe even killed. But the church as a whole stays out of politics like that. We only care about building up families and nations and helping the poor and such. If any government allows us to, we'll go in and help in all sorts of ways.

Right now we are having problems in Russia with the Russian government, probably because they view us as a US-only church and they are in a proxy war with the US. We have complied with every demand they have made, and we have tried to make it clear that we're only there to help. But if Putin and his government don't want us there, there's no reason for us to make enemies of him.
