I've read the Bible extensively. The trinity is present all the way into the OT. I will agree with you that much of our knowledge of Christ has been corrupted, since literally right after Christ the dirty crypto jew Onkelos rewrote the OT and all Christians thereafter used his version.
I admit that "Father", "Son" and "Holy Ghost" are present in the OT and the NT.
The concept I disagree with in the doctrine of the Trinity is that they are "one substance" or "homoousis." That concept is NOT found in the Bible. In fact, it's quite clear that Father and Son are separate beings. Jesus says things like "My God and Your God". Paul refers to the Father as "God" and Jesus as "Lord" also.
In fact, in the OT, there is a clear reference not just to multiple gods in a divine council, but a tacit assumption that the other gods (such as Baal etc) are actual, real entities. In fact, Jesus' encounter in the wilderness while fasting is likely Baal himself.

Having looked into this, it's clear that the rewriting wasn't just occurring in NT times. There is CLEAR signs that even the pentateuch was tampered with. It is apparent that there are 3 sources for the text we have, and the current version was likely not inspired by prophets but by scribes and priests. The Josiah reforms are seen as a sort of inflection point where the jews tried to rewrite their religion as early as 600 BC. Remember, virtually ALL of the prophets in the OT were killed or they tried to kill them, and Jesus mentions that there were many more that were killed by the jews.
Then we find things like Jesus citing an Egyptian story about Osiris and replacing Osiris with Abraham -- the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. Why is Jesus citing Egyptian religion? Does that mean that somehow the Egyptians preserved some of the truths that the jews corrupted?
The very idea that we should worship the Bible as we currently have it is completely contradictory to the text of the Bible, and a critical analysis of the text shows that we really can't trust the text to be divine or authentic because it's clearly been tampered with. If it weren't for Jesus' promise that the Holy Ghost would give us knowledge and truth, we would be utterly hopeless to find truth at all.
Anyway, I could bore people to tears with example upon example of how modern Christian thought is actually not Christian in origin at all, but a perversion either coming through the jews or from the greeks or other pagans.
I would say the Septuigant is pretty close to a divinely inspired OT considering the Apostles consistenly quote from it. Even account for cross referencing all the languages. Jesus also clearly testifies he is the father. And the Elohim stuff from Michael Heiser is not a suggestion of multiple gods but a plethora of spiritual beings. Does not mean multiple gods, as the Father is still explicitly different.
