So are they just printing out boxes that look old and putting new food inside?

Its new 'historically' accurate food based on historically accurate packaging. Like kitschy Lunchables.

>Hero Rations is so excited that to bring the very best WWII and Korean War fully edible, reusable reproduction Rations. This is the “crown jewel” of our ration offerings – the full day’s Korean War Ration, Individual, Combat (RIC)! The RIC was the most common ration issued during the Korean War and went through a number of changes from 1946-1950s. This is the most common version, which includes the large outer carton, three B Units, three M Units, fruit can, three spoons in divider and large accessory packet full of goodies. And our reproductions are FULLY EDIBLE with HISTORICALLY ACCURATE CONTENTS AND REUSABLE and REFILLABLE packaging designs in most cases!

Give me some WW2 German rations with Sauerkraut, pork sausage, historically accurate Fresca and a Pervitin chaser. o/

There are whole channels of guys eating real MRE rations from WW2 to current day...

I've seen the videos. It's pretty cool seeing old ones with a pack of smokes and small bottle of brandy.

Or selling empty boxes, for the ration kits that historically came with cigarettes.
