I've been collecting lots of German Nazi era coins.

Let me know if you want me to make post about it

Were the coins made with actual precious metals like silver and gold?

Try the Germany Reichsmark WW2 Third Reich German 90% Silver Mark Coins in 1,2, and 5 denominations. I would go for a 5 mark. for 1 mark coins you might spend $10. For 2 mark it might run you $20 and for 5 mark maybe $40-$50. Many of them have Paul von Hindenburg on the face. The back side is a really cool eagle holding the swastika. Fucking nice.

Look here https://en.numista.com/5218

Here is a list (and pictures and data) of ALL NAZI GERMANY COINS!!! https://en.numista.com/catalogue/ruler.php?id=3581

Lots of data, broken down by year, helps you value the coins, tells you the bullion value and the numismatic value, past sales, etc.

Those are the coins i'm interested in. Gold and silver. But buying brand new 2025 canada or u.s. mint got boring after a couple years. So i began collecting old gold coins from the early 1900s and late 1800s. Now i'm going back further, trying to get the draped bust silver dollars and half dollars from 18th century and older gold and silver coins from around the world. It's actually a fun hobby and better to exchange my fiat federal reserve notes for coins that have gold/silver value and numismatic/historical value.

I'm kind of interested in getting a Hungary 20 Korona if i can learn more about the seal the angels are carrying. I bought a couple old king george british coins with the soldier trampling a dragon on the back side. And I have a few old gold 20 franc coins and i collect the old U.S. gold indian coins from early 1900s.

It's a good hobby if you like to collect things. A rare hobby in which you actually PROFIT from spending money on items. I dont know if people collecting funko pops or pokemon cards are profiting. Anyways i rather have gold and silver nazi era coins than something gay redditors collect.

Mind you i own zero bitcoins. I've skimmed the White paper but haven't completely taken the time to take it all in and study it further. I like the concept but have invested zero dollars into bitcoins. To me it was always like collecting coins in a nintendo mario game. The coins are not real, digitally programmed in some huge ledger. The block chain ledger is perhaps the concept i don't fully grasp. But i don't even like the idea of the blockchain. I also have a gut feeling the bitcoin thing is the foot in the door by which CBDC takes over our lives and that sucks. Not sure who this Satoshi guy is. I like the idea of decentralized money but can't hold bitcoin in my hand, can't trust that it won't be hacked or replaced by a different crypto currency. There's only so many physical metals that you could utilize in place of gold, such as silver, platinum, etc. But there seems to be infinite number of digital currencies people can create and the only one that will eventually matter is the one backed by a central government. Right now the people who i follow in relation to gold markets are suggesting bitcoin is about to explode higher to $200k so maybe if you like bitcoin right now is a good buy opportunity but i don't follow bitcoin as closely. Some of the gold analysts i listen to also discuss bitcoin and that's where i get my info.

EDIT: I do not believe there were gold coins in nazi era in Germany. Perhaps Germany did not have the gold, or if they did they decided not to mint it into coins and to guard it in a vault instead. I do not know. Perhaps someone can fill us in on WWII history and why German Nazi Party decided not to mint gold coins.

I have a ww2 SS helmet from an accredited broker in Europe somewhere, don't remember off the top of my head, all their gear was immaculate.

I want some good body armor but most of it looks like over priced crap with plates so small that most of my body is still exposed.
