That's actually fucking wild. I'd love to know where these stats are from, because either I don't hate them enough or these stats are cherry picked from some crime-ridden shithole. That seems insanely high.
Really? I’ve worked in the system before of a major chocolate city, and it seems about right, if not a tad low, especially today. I’d guess it’s because of all the BLM(CJS) reforms over the last 10 years that basically let bloggers chimp out regularly with no consequences.
When you add in the fact that many felonies are pled down, sometimes even to a misdemeanor, it all gets interesting real fast. I can’t even tell you how many times I saw relatively high level drug dealers get drug court, and probation with a chance to get their record expunged because it was there “first” offense. I’m not just talking grass either.
