If we take these people as being honest, fascism is a collectivist ideology that punishes anyone that is different. It suppresses individualism and exceptionalism.

Because its somewhat opposed to the neo-religions of Enlightenment Liberalism and Egalitarianism, though it still exists within the Liberal Overton window, because (((they))) cannot allow actual opposition, like legitimate Divine Right Monarchism or Christian Theocracy, to exist and expose their system as fraudulent.
