Bacha bazi barely exists in Afghanistan anymore, since 2021. It jumped ship to Pakistan. Actually, it *mostly* jumped ship to Pakistan way back in 1996. Some of them came back in the non-taliban years, but the majority stayed in Pakistan. The practice also existed in Pakistan independent of afghan pedophiles scared of the taliban. So yes, a lot of them actually are jeets. Compared to the original mujahideen Afghanistan, this practice has been almost nonexistent since 1996. It made a half assed resurgence and then died again. The taliban had this shit as top priority in 1996 and went apeshit clearing the countryside of bacha bazi. Then they did it again in 2021. You're more likely to see this in Pakistan than anywhere in Afghanistan today.
