Some people seem to think that AI is free labor, when in reality the cost of hardware and power required to run it is enormous. Meanwhile Indians are plentiful and run on curry rice.
You can't train a model yourself because you can't generate the dataset it needs. So you're always just running someone else's model which is mostly made up of reddit posts.
Then there's the people who think if they "master AI" they're suddenly going to be the CEO of a very profitable company.
Ask them how they're going to manage basic competition from the very people who own the model you're using and they immediately dissemble.
This all started with the housing "crisis" and is now turbo with the inflation "crisis". You need Americans to be poor, afraid, and without any saved wealth otherwise they'll demand something better.
For now. As with all technology, it becomes more efficient over time.
