Me: "what is the right gonna do about it?".

"Prayer vigils!".

Me: "what about some sort of protest?".

"No we don't protest when they kill us, that's what the left does, that's wrong."

Summary: If the Boston Tea Party happened today right wingers would be bending over backwards to condemn the protest as "something the left does, not us."

I get it, but the reality is it’s still part of our fight/struggle, whatever you want to call it, because the thing that CK represented to them before anything else was a straight white Christian male that continued to spit in their faces through existing unabashedly. I honestly was never a CK fan, and really didn’t know much about him, but I also realize that doesn’t matter at this point.
