I wouldn't be surprised if many of them issued a generic "very much sad, political violence is bad, mkay" statement given how much it has made the news, but they aren't going on US television and stating that they had nothing to do with the assassination. It just looks guilty to go out of your way to issue a public statement of denial for something that only has circumstantial ties to you rather than just trying to let it all be forgotten and trying not to draw attention.
I have plenty of accusations against me of varying truthfulness and you know how I deal with these allegations? I ignore them and brush them aside, I don't bring them up to people who otherwise would have never heard only so I can deny them.
