It's actually going pretty strong; but like EVs, it's another modern "solution" desperate to convince us there's a "problem" that only it can fix. Ultimately, the intention of these technologies is to deny poor people yet another side hustle, like driving people or things around town. Taxi drivers, Uber drivers, truck drivers; it's all a matter of scale and time.
