I'm getting old and am out of shape, but I have felt that repulsion in settings with these types of men. Pear shaped blobs in soft clothing, often with scraggly low-T beards. Afraid of any conflict or struggle that has a physical element to it, and thus they run to the popular "consensus" for protection.
