Just having really good tone is enough. I've been in situations where all I had to do was stand up. "Maybe he's a boxer? Maybe he does Jujitsu?" The other guy didn't know but being toned and having the right attitude was enough to defuse those situations. You can't have that effect if you look like you drink soy or chug soda all day. So, yeah, start lifting weights if you aren't already.
