the late 90s to early 10s internet really was something special. True free exchange of ideas, the chans at their best driving a great deal of what would happen in the larger internet, no one bitched or moaned about calling niggers & faggots niggers and faggots.

And you could find any information you were seeking with a search engine (webcrawler, ask jeeves, early non-kiked google, etc).

It's fucking absurd what it started as compared to what it is now, and that is not only the result of intentional kike mischief/social engineering but also what happens when you give billions of retarded 3rd world rabble an internet connection.

Forum culture was prime too. Couldn't find it on Google? Ask some specialty forum and some guy who is a turbogeek would probably give you great solutions. It has sort of been replaced by YouTube tutorials but those are frustrating as you often have to wase through a bunch of crap produced by pajeets.

Pre 2005 was 🤌🏻. I remember how fucking wild, and based almost all forums were back then. I specifically remember throwing nigger, and faggot around not a care in the world like it was nothing on steroids.com/bodybuilding.com, and ebaumsworld. Shit, I even remember being able to geo it without being banned on some of the car, and gun forums. Most you might of got was a message saying to chill out from a mod. Mods were based as fuck back then. Man, we’re the car forums so much better back then where you could really get some good info quickly while still having some fun. Even video games.com that eventually became gamespot .com allowed some of the same shit. WTF happened?!? Yeah, I know………..😡

Edit: came back to post that I just realized that the whole internet was basically 4chan without the turbomaXXed autism at all times.

Mods were powertrippy as well back then, don't let the rose-tinted glasses fool you. The main difference IMO is that most people did things for the love of the craft. Anyone trying to make money (like ebaums, mofunzone and others) were usually seen as sellouts that stole and rehosted other people's work for ad revenue.

Its because that's when the Internet content was made by White men engineers. You can trace the decline of the Internet by the rise in women and non White users. It's just like a city, it was once glorious and shining on the hill, now it's a slum of nigger speak and e-sluts.

Imo it really turned in 2007. The release of the iphone, facebook opening up to the public, Twitter hitting it big after SXSW.... Everything really started getting marketed to the lowest common denominator.

Remember,

> Computers went wrong when you made them for niggers. They're like "we don't like the command line" fuck you. What's the difference between a white person and a nigger? Do you like the command line? Get the fuck out.

My favorite part about the internet is that all of these things are still there for the most part. The early internet has enshrined itself as an immortal; the most ancient of memes remain passed down by word of mouth and nostalgia decades later, and even more people find them by the simple fact that once you've caught up there's no place to go but backwards. 20 years from now there will be people finding out that the Wild Web was actually a thing, and finding out they have the ability to see firsthand what it was really like; impact-font memes and troll comics and Rickrolls and Strong Bad emails and Leekspins and almost thirty years of people having fun. I don't cry because it's over. I smile because it happened.

There's a case to be made for intranets, national networks limited to one jurisdiction (and ideally one proper nation/people). We could have all this back again if alien peoples were excluded, and women and men sorted ourselves into our own spaces.

Oh how the jews would bridle at that, but fuck them really.

The Internet from 1995 to 2007 to me will always be to me the Golden Age of the Internet.

There were certain filters that made it great.

You had to have a powerful enough computer, so there was an income filter, you had to have enough intelligence to install TCP/IP, a browser, and connection hardware plus drivers and get it all working together, so there was an intelligence filter, and you had to know people who were already on the Internet so there was a social filter.

As a result, when you go back to Usenet posts and blog posts from this period of time, the content from the average user was much more erudite and articulate.

Facebook was founded in 2004 and the iPhone was introduced in 2007. By then, most computers started coming out of the box "internet ready" and the tragedy of the commons struck.

lol, Anon is talking about 2011 being old for the internet. The internet was better before normies got a hold of it with the first iphone in 2007.

Egypt had a revolution in 2011 which was largely organized on Facebook. The world governments scared shitless of organized citizenry cracked down on the internet after that. So anon is also right.
