I would avoid medicine and engineering, those professions take a long time and come with heavy debt, but they're also being outsourced rather quickly. The keys to the future are in building and owning infrastructure; that means tech and finance. Literally just tech and finance -- that's the backbone of every industry moving forward. They all need software, they all need money. We'll need lawyers too, but they're in the same boat with the doctors and engineers.
See, I like those two because they actually provide some value. We need doctors who will tell the government to get fucked when they bring mandates and engineers who refuse to allow standards to slip.
