Tucker serves as a pressure relief valve for the truth. When the pressure of truth threatens the blob then Tucker lets it come to the surface of public awareness for a brief moment and then moves on so that it becomes forgotten. If the truth were never spoken loudly the pressure would become dangerous to the status quo and Tucker serves to bleed off the threat to the system.
