America and Israel realized that its a complete lost cause to try to fight Iran. The war didn't stop because America bombed a nuclear site (that Iran had already evacuated), it stopped because the 2 jewish powers realized that they would be completely fucked in this potential war. A reevaluation of reality is required for them. We no longer live in the early post-soviet collapse world anymore and America simply isn't as important or as powerful relative to other countries as it was 20-30 years ago. They're chomping at the bit for regime change and are just seething that they simply can't do it the same way they did in Iraq anymore.
Ok, so, based on this I'm reconsidering my previous position on staying out of a war with Iran. Now I think we should air strike the shit out of them but leave all their missile sites in tact.

And this was a legitimate option that by all intents *would* have happened too, if washington wasnt threatened into forcing peace by the ussr's invasion plans. It wasn't just bluffing. Soviet ships in the area had their entire crews volunteer to be marines in the event of an amphibious landing on israel and ran drills for the scenario.
