Don't adopt random foreign babies. . Imagine if the Egyptian princess didn't adopt Moses , then Moses wouldn't have grown up and turned against the Egyptians to side with his blood relatives and blood racial tribe

RE "worshipped different gods and had different beliefs" -- this is not necessarily true. The OT is a polytheistic text that does not deny the existence of other gods besides the ones who Israel was ordered to worship. If you're reading the OT through the lens of modern protestants, you're missing most of the text and what was actually happening.
