Intel has been circling down the drain since quality control flew out the window with the 13th gens CPUs got contamination issues in manufacturing, on top of code problems shoving too high voltage, faster damaging the already compromized chips.
Shit-coding problems persisted for years, into 14th gen and possible 15th gen CPUs.
This was in part caused by Intel trying to shove too much power to scrape tiny performance ( with shitty efficiency and overheating problems ) to be able to claim they had ''the BEST performance''.
But there was also just incompetence, with inexplicable jumps in voltage ( other than ''Intel coded it badly'' )
Then AMD started performing similar, for cheaper, without high-volting itself to death or burning itself to death, and Intel stock took a nosedive.
Intel used to be touted as more reliable than AMD which I also own some stock in. But AMD has innovated and possibly surpassed Intel in multiple facets, and the share price has performed much better
Intel CPUs always came at a premium price. If they slacked on quality control then the premium price is no longer warranted
