The funny thing is that not only women accepted their fate, they also refused to be rescued. Even women kidnapped by the American Indians refused to leave when they were rescued. I'm not sure what went on their mind there

Also, at those times, the Vikings were more groomed and bathed than the British men, so women very much preferred them.
