looks like they're anchored with wood directly into dirt and with the railing resting on the outside edge of the steps. poorly built. dangerous. and who will maintain it? and what happens when a step collapses and someone sues the city?

give me all the libertarian arguments you want but this is the boomer world the boomers built. the system the boomers built. now we live in it.

9 out of 10 businesses you might try to start now require endless licenses, inspections, and mountains of paperwork. that didn't exist in 1940-1970s. it's the boomers that built this matriarchal mommy-state where you must ask mommy for permission to do anything useful. that's just our world now. stop bitching about it and stop electing women and boomers into positions of power. run for a local office.

100% agree. Not justifying the supposed $65,000 price tag, but they tore down his cheap stairs because they were objectively unsafe.
