And not coincidentally the person I know who gets into sports the most also has a decades long gambling addiction.
People will commit entire days to watch other men play games. Sunday, Monday, Thursday, they'll know every player who caught every pass and what the score was and who's moving on, but they can't tell you the balance of their bank account. They can't tell you their spouses phone number without looking it up. They can't tell you the name of their kids teacher, or their kids birthday.
