I've noticed something and I'm wondering if I'm the only one. 30-50 years ago if there was some product that had "regular strength" (think like cough drops or painkillers, cleaners, etc...), everyone back then thought the regular strength was still really strong and effective. Nowadays it seems like for the same products, everyone is grabbing the extra strength and that doesn't even feel strong enough anymore.
I wonder what's going on with this phenomenon. Are their people who find extra-strong too strong and they stick to regular anymore?
Also, once a brand does it the others have to do it to stay competitive.
Its just your average consumer/capitalist idiocy that in an ideal world should get everyone involved whipped and jailed.
