I’ve seen videos of newborns placed in pools and apparently they just naturally, instinctively start swimming. It was a long time ago - probably the 1990s, but I think it was some fashionable trend for progressive parents to try to raise their kids with a constant affinity for water

Of course, all the vids I saw were white kids. I wonder if black kids just instantly drown. That’d explain why nobody talks about this anymore

Up to like 9 months my White babies weren't freaked out if they dunked their heads under water during baths.

My youngest is still there. My oldest likes water, but doesn't like it in their face anymore. I have to make it a game to get under the showerhead to rinse their hair out.
