Remember what this day is about: our nation, our people, our shared history, culture, language, blood and our founding of the new Rome. If you haven't read the Federalist Papers, maybe give it a try. Start with Hamilton's.

Remember a large part of the war kicked off because England outlawed us from issuing our own currency, requiring us to use theirs instead. So much of history is about money, currency, and who controls it, who benefits from issuing it.

Huh. I did not know that. I thought it was about taxes and laws that where unfair, such as having regulars(soldiers) be allowed to live in peoples houses, or soldiers needing to be brought to britan in order to actually get put on trial if they did something bad.

My mom's side can trace their lineage through Plymouth Rock.

My dad's side left England in the early 1800s after being falsely imprisoned for treason.

Both sides left England because England no longer needed them. By force of axe and plow they built their lives.
