just read through the lawsuit they filed last week https://brandeiscenter.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/06.25.2025-MIT-Complaint.pdf

it's nauseating and very heavily editorialized. most of it is allegations of other shit the university had nothing to do with, not even failure to stop people from doing stuff.

and then there's the big ethnonationalist question... he's not israeli but he is jewish. the target of the harassment was not jews in general, but israel.

* either israel is NOT a violent ethnonationalist state for jews, and thus he has no causal link to the harassment because he's not israeli... wasn't even about him. he has no standing.
* or israel is a violent ethnationalist state for jews, and it was about him, but then they're guilty of war crimes and ethnic cleansing, and protests are completely protected free speech. while MIT is technically private, they take billions of dollars in taxpayer funding and thus cannot restrict free speech any more than the government can.

Counterpoint: All those of jewish blood are automagically israeli citizens.

sortof. the law facially permits that, but in practice, the evidentiary requirements are high enough that many american and european people who claim to be jewish do not qualify.

that also doesn't address the conundrum. either he has no standing because it's not even about him (because he's not israeli), or it's protected speech against ethnic cleansing.
