If you want to live the rest of your life in another country because you’re scared of your wife getting deported, then maybe the responsible thing to do is obtain citizenship?

You're wrong. You don't need a citizenship to reside somewhere. He would only need the equivalent of the right of abode, which he would get by marrying a citizen.

That’s not the point, idiot. The point is wife is a raging hypocrite for refusing to get citizenship in a country she’s been economically exploiting for 15 years. And instead of committing to becoming a full-fledged citizen and integrating, she’s complaining that her husband can’t become a citizen in her own country due to “citizenship issues”.
