Writing it as "YHWY" is exactly the same as when they type "G-d", they think they can trick God Almighty by using a loophole where they leave some letters out when writing what they think they aren't supposed to write.

From the sounds Yahweh is a modernized spelling, YHWH/YHWY is a more accurate one.
