I appreciate my parents "racism" growing up more and more, by the day.

Yes Narinder, all the food in Italy sucks. The housing sucks too. And the jobs. And the weather and the people. You'd like India much better, might as well return as soon as possible.

I can fully understand being nostalgic for the taste of home. They should return to it.

Apparently, White people are the only ethnic group that can enjoy the food of other ethnic groups' food on a regular basis without whining how much they miss their own food. Mexicans can't enjoy simple non-Mexican food on an occasional basis unless they call it something in Spanish like hamburgerisa.

Oh, and don't try to make them enjoy meat loaf, or a creamy casserole, because even though they're delicious, they won't understand it or why anyone would find it enjoyable and they won't eat it. Mexicans don't like to have their food preferences challenged and are very chauvinistic about it.
