The fact that they are pushing this message means they are losing.
All of my close friends have turned on Trump over Iran. There is no "benefit of a doubt" among them.
None of them prefer Israel anymore. In fact, one of them went from "Muh Holocaust!" to "Why are there dual-citizens everywhere in government?!?"
