No matter what legal situation you find yourself in, look up the lawyers and/ or law firms that donated most to the judge assigned to your case.
That's who you're going to hire to represent you. Nothing's guaranteed, but it sure helps. Don't ask how I know, either.
But you can get a one time membership for the right price. This is why I continue to call it "the legal industry" and not "the justice system." They sell you permission to commit crime. Though I will accept "the 'just us' system."
