Its crazy how beautiful and white america was back in the 90s. Corporations entertainment businesses everyone catered to a white america. No goobly glop people anywhere. Watching this movie really triggers my peak white america nostalgia when the internet was still new and technology was a useful tool to people. I remember going to the mall as a kid in the 90s and it was all white grunge skater culture. No goobly glop bullshit in sight. The free world was ahead of us and waiting or so we thought. Dreams of living in a white dominant future with ambitions greater than our parents' filled our brains. Surely as the boomers got their white picket fence and 3 kids our future would hold untold riches! Now if you try to go to a mall or city its filled with nothing but foreigners looking for an economic opportunity and a way to rip you off with their goblin children in tow and no loyalty to any history of the sacrifice to build this nation. Fuck it all.

I was old enough to witness, live through, and understand white flight as it was happening in my NOLA neighborhood. Pre 09/11 is my litmus test for everything now, but I remember the second half of the 80s vividly, and it was amazing IMHO.

Kids born after 1990 have no idea. To me, most of them are completely different human beings because they didn’t get to experience the world at an old enough age before 09/11 to really understand and comprehend what the world was, and could have been. Then you turn right around, and the iPhone hits in 07 fucking those very same kids(now teens/young adults), and the world they’re forced to operate in even further. It’s fucking criminal what they were forced to grow up in and under, but sometimes I envy them because they don’t know what could have been like I do which probably makes the trash today a bit more palatable.
