I think it's worth making a distinction that Trump doesn't want Iran to have nukes, while Israel doesn't want to Iran to have nukes, missiles, or even their regime survive. I really doubt Trump is interested in regime change in Iran and I also doubt he expects Iran to give up having missiles. This alone puts Trump at odds with Israel, and it actually makes Trump a good mediator between the two. He wants Iran to give up the nukes and Israel to stop prodding at them. I can only hope that it stays this way and there's a peaceful solution to this, because knowing Trump, if he does decide to go all in fully supporting Israel, it will be a big fucking mess for everyone.
