The way they look is demoralizing, but it's the content of their character that's most troubling. They're a cancer who turns a wealthy, high-trust society into the impoverished crime-ridden shithole they came from.

It was *always* about the content of their character.

That being said, I happen to believe that a person's appearance generally will match the state of their soul, with some exceptions. People with ugly souls start to look ugly, and generations of evil produces a grotesque race.
