Well technically, that's what they (*WE THE GOOD GOYS*™) did as well with Hitler. They used occupied German territories like Danzig to provoke Germany into war. Britain was eagerly waiting to declare war on Germany.

Then Hitler surprised and outsmarted them, by having a pact with the Soviets to sandwich Poland. It should be very peculiar that Britain declared war against Germany but not the Soviets, even though BOTH did the same. Why?

Because the plan was to provoke Germany and bring it into war.

The same with Putin. The coup in Ukraine started ~2014 under Obama, and the actions of the *GOOD GOY SIDE*™ forced Putin's hand.

The West is so eager to bait nations into war and then feel oh-so justified and righteous when they can finally curb-stomp them as they planned from the beginning. The correct way to respond to this is by vehement action and doing what they didn't predict.
